Panhellenic chapters unite to address mental health

Mental health struggles are common among college students, but individuals are often reluctant to seek help. Now, leaders from some of the University of Iowa’s Fraternity and Sorority community are launching an initiative to de-stigmatize some of the most common issues faced by their members.

James Hughes is a senior at the University of Iowa studying Marketing Management. He served as Assistant Parade Director in 2018 and Director of Marketing in 2019 on the UI Homecoming Council. For the past three years, he has also been working for University of Iowa's Parking and Transportation employment center as a Cambus driver.

Morgan Smith is a senior at the University of Iowa studying marketing. She joined the Iowa chapter of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority in the Fall of 2016 – her first semester at Iowa. Since her time in the organization, she has had the opportunity to be the Vice President of Membership Experience and Vice President of Event Management.
