On Thursday nights, the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) terrace transforms into a vibrant hub of student activity. With music, games, food, and themed activities, Thursdays on the Terrace offers more than just entertainment—it’s a key part of the University of Iowa’s Alcohol Harm Reduction Plan and a growing tradition that supports student well-being and connection.

Sponsored by Leadership and Engagement and the Iowa Memorial Union, with several events programmed by student organizations, the celebration features activities ranging from music and movies to job fairs and community events.

Students play a valuable role in the Hawkeye football tradition, both as players on the field and fans in the stadium. Respect for others is a key component of The IOWA Challenge, which calls on us to be good neighbors and make Iowa City a great place to live.
