According to National College Health Assessment Data, University of Iowa students sit far above the National average for high-risk drinking behaviors. Fraternity and Sorority Life students are one of several high-risk groups on campus. Dedicated staff, faculty, students, and administration have worked over the last decade with the Fraternity and Sorority Life community to shift the trend downward. Moving forward, the Harm Reduction team would like to take a Community Based Participatory approach to alcohol use interventions with Fraternity and Sorority Life students.
