Student Legal Services: Expungement Clinic

Student Legal Services (SLS) is hosting an expungement clinic for students on Thursday, March 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in IMU River Room 1.

Expungement is a legal process where a court case is sealed from public record and made confidential. SLS attorneys will be on hand to meet with students to review their criminal record and will file expungement requests for eligible students. As always, there is a no charge for SLS services.

If you were charged with any of the following crimes, visit https://studentlegal.uiowa.edu/know-the-law/criminal-law/expungement to review eligibility requirements:

  • Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age Convictions
  • Public Intoxication Convictions
  • Prostitution Convictions
  • Not Guilty/All Charges Dismissed
  • Other Simple Misdemeanor Convictions
