Night At The Museum: Pizza & Paint

Join us for our next installment of Night at the Museum—a series of monthly events for students that occur Thursday nights, when the museum is open late.

This month, we're partnering with Campus Activities Board (CAB) to host a paint-and-sip-style creative workshop led by Amanda Lensing! Lensing will lead attendees in creating their own pastel-and-watercolor masterpiece, inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama's work.

This event has a limited capacity; we encourage you to RSVP at this link to reserve your spot. Art materials and refreshments provided.

Amanda Lensing moved back to her hometown of Iowa City in 2017. Since then, Lensing has presented monthly art discussions to local senior living communities through the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art and as of 2024, on her own. In addition, she coordinates the public program—with older adults in mind—called Stanley Sage for the museum. She also oversees lifelong learning and community engagement programming and relations at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service. In her spare time, she’s a board member of Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa and Loving Arms Kids Care, TRAIL of Johnson County development committee member, Coralville Community Food Pantry volunteer, and loves to be out and about with her family taking in and sharing all our community has to offer.
