The University Counseling Service provides compassionate psychological services, outreach, and training that fosters the mental health of students, nurtures student success, and contributes to a safe, welcoming, and multiculturally aware campus community.
The University Counseling Service (UCS) has an inter-disciplinary, multicultural staff of psychologists, social workers, graduate interns, practicum students, and administrative professionals. Each staff member has training and experience working specifically with college students.

University Counseling Service (UCS) is focused on capacity-building, efficiency, and sustainability. I am excited to be here at a time where mental health and well-being are supported at the highest level of leadership. President Wilson has named mental health and well-being as a strategic priority, and both presidents of the Undergraduate Student Government and the Graduate and Professional Student Government have listed mental health and well-being in their strategic plans.

As a multidisciplinary APA-accredited training site, the University Counseling Service (UCS) is celebrated for its training program. Facilitating such a program requires dedication, purpose, and an in-depth knowledge of the material being taught. That is why UCS has hired former practicum coordinator, Patrick Galligan, Ph.D., as the new director of training.
