Maddison is a Music Therapy major from Davenport, Iowa.
What is your favorite University of Iowa memory?
This past February, UI Dance Marathon held their first in-person Big Event since the pandemic. As a member of DM's Hospital Committee, I got to lead the line of families walking in at the start of the event. Walking arm-in-arm with kiddos who have faced cancer, into a ballroom filled with people, was one of the most powerful experiences of my life.
What would you like to see changed in the world during your lifetime?
There are many things I advocate for, but my biggest hope for the future is that we see a cure for cancer.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Give It Up from Victorious (with my sister of course)
What is your secret talent?
I'm kind of the master of Candy Crush. I'm currently on level 5830.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, and at the age of 31, I will be a Board-Certified Music Therapist, hopefully practicing at a children's hospital and helping patients reach their goals through the use of music. Personally, all I know is I will have many cats. I hope to stay close to my family and make time for hobbies that I enjoy. Regardless of where I end up, I am excited to find out!
