Iowa students now have access to a clinically moderated peer mental health support resource.
Through a collaboration with Togetherall, students can engage with a global community of peers, giving and receiving peer support in a safe and anonymous online environment, available 24/7/365.
Angie Reams, PhD, associate vice president and dean of students, and her team are excited about the opportunity to reach an even greater number of students needing support.
"Togetherall will provide an opportunity for our students to engage with other students in similar situations and stages of life while also being connected as needed to UI resources,” says Reams. “Togetherall’s program will be a great addition to the variety of resources and supports we have for our students and their well-being at the University of Iowa."
Among the many existing mental health resources available to students are counseling services, 24/7 support via phone/chat/text, and the wellbeing.uiowa.edu website that provides information on many campus resources and supports for mental health and well-being.
