Show your love for the University of Iowa on its 172nd birthday

The University of Iowa turns 172 in February, and there’s been a lot to love throughout its history, from being the first public university in the U.S. to admit men and women on an equal basis, to being a pioneer and leader in fields such as neuroscience, hydroscience, and writing. Just in the past year, there have been plenty of memorable moments to treasure.

Starting Feb. 4, help make this the UI’s best birthday yet by sharing on social media—using the hashtag #iloveUIOWA—what you love about the state’s oldest and most comprehensive university. It can be a person, place, or memory during your time on campus.

To help celebrate, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) will be handing out birthday cupcakes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 25 in Hubbard Commons.
