What is your favorite memory from the University of Iowa?

My favorite memory of the University of Iowa has to be all of the times I have walked past the Old Capitol on a snowy evening. It is surreal to watch the gold dome glow as snow falls around it.

What would like to see changed in the world during your lifetime?

Something I am extremely passionate about changing is the presence of rape culture. It is something that has affected so many people that I serve through my advocacy work with the Rape Victim Advocacy Program. I am not afraid to call out the words or actions that enable rape culture, and I hope to assist in the inspiration of both current and future generations to do the same.

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?

I would love to be able to fly. It would be such an entertaining way to get around!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I hope to be practicing academic medicine in an area I am passionate about. As a physician, no matter what specialty I end up in, I really want to share my love of learning with the future faces of medicine. During my time as an undergraduate I have met some amazing mentors in the medical field and I would love to be able to provide that same kind of guidance to others.

What is a fun fact that no one knows about you?

I can (unapologetically) recite any song word-for-word from Taylor Swift's discography!
