What is a fun fact that no one knows about you?

I'm an avid soupie (I love soup). Soup is my favorite food. I know it's kind of lame but it's so yummy. Oh and tacos. Those are bomb.

What is a favorite memory from The University of Iowa?

Dude that's hard to answer. I know for sure one of my favorite memories was when we beat Michigan last year under the lights. I was standing next to my friend Emily the whole game and when the kick was good we stormed the field. I mean I jumped on top of a vending machine just to get on the field. I don't think it gets much better than that! Another amazing memory was when the tote board went up for DM22. I cried so hard because I knew that $2,424,031.22 was going to change so many lives just as it had changed mine!

If you had a superpower for one day, what would it be?

This sounds random but I think it'd be awesome to be able to have weather control. For example, right now it doesn't really feel like fall so I'd just drop the temp a bit so we could all enjoy our hoodies and pumpkin spice lattes.

Why do you want to be a part of Homecoming Royalty?

I remember when I was a sophomore my friend jokingly said, "hey you should apply for that. I think you'd make it." And here I am two years later. I am just grateful to be able to help the university celebrate Iowa! It's so cool how we all come together during Homecoming and I just wanted to be more involved in that amazing tradition.

What is something you would like to see changed in the world within your generation?

The world is sort of in distress right now. But something we've been facing for awhile is the pressing issue of climate change. It's only going to become a more pressing issue and I'd really like the stigma against it to change. Let's be the generation fighting for the next.

If you had the chance to redo one year on campus, which year would it be, and what would you do differently?

Honestly, I wouldn't change any year or experience I've had here for anything. Sure, there were a lot of mistakes along the way but without those I wouldn't be the person standing here today. I screwed up a few times along the way, accomplished some incredible things, and made some amazing memories. I don't really regret anything except maybe all those parking tickets. Those were brutal.
