University Housing and Dining offers alternatives to market place meal swipes
Although there are three accessible market place locations on campus, University Housing and Dining recognizes that students are busy and do not always have the time to sit down to have a meal. Flex swipes offer students the ability to use a meal swipe at one of eight on-campus retail locations. Flex swipes are designed for students on the go and are typically comprised of one entrée, two sides, and one drink. If all market place swipes are used in a student’s meal plan, flex swipes will be used automatically when dining in the Burge, Catlett, or Hillcrest market places. Both the Black and Gold meal plans include 75 Flex swipes, five of which can be used on any given day.
Flex swipes can be used at the following locations: River Room Café, Street Hawk Food Truck, Union Station, Food for Thought Café, Grand Avenue Market, Pat’s Diner, Mayflower Market, and Clinton Street Market. Having retail locations across campus that accept flex swipes makes it simple for students to plan their day without having to stress about when or where they will eat. With several retail location options, comes a variety of menu items. While there are commonalities in the menus, each is unique and provides options for all taste pallets.
