Division of Student Life creates a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion action plan

Throughout Spring 2019, the Division of Student Life engaged in a collaborative process to create a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) action plan to guide the division’s DEI priority for the next two years. The Division of Student Life DEI action plan outlines specific goals and action steps to move the division closer to its vision to create and sustain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive Division of Student Life that fosters student and staff success.

The Division of Student Life DEI Strategic Plan Development Committee engaged in thoughtful dialogue and used a “hub and spoke” model where group members were responsible for eliciting feedback on the plan from their constituents and colleagues. The group completed iterative plan revisions based on feedback across the division.

Implementation of the plan will begin in fall 2019, and be led by an implementation team consisting of staff members representing a variety of departments and perspectives from across the division.
