Don’t let finals get you down. Use these strategies to ease stress and ace the tests.
Finals week can be as stressful as you make it to be. If you’re like the student above, working on overload and living 24/7 at the library can be detrimental to your health and your test performance. The tests, projects, papers, and more can be daunting, but with a little patience and a lot of relaxing, you can make it your best semester ever. even if it is your first or last.
Clean
Spend some time to turn your living space into perfection and eliminate the clutter. It will ease your mind and create some focus.
Bake cookies
Cooking in general can be a great way to ease stress because you can feel a sense of control by being the queen/king of your kitchen. Not only this, but your friends get to benefit. By cooking up holiday treats, you can share the Christmas spirit and lighten the mood. The website, Food Gawker, has a plethora of fantastic recipes you can share with your friends.
Exercise
By getting physical, you can release those stressors and grab onto some endorphins. As the saying goes from Legally Blonde, “endorphins makes you happy!”
Take a time out from the internet
Social media can act as a great way to keep up with the news and friends, but at this time of the semester, it can be your biggest enemy. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and etc. are the biggest culprits of time wasting when you should be working on papers or studying for a test. Try a few apps such as SelfControl that will keep productivity up, even for the most weak-willed of students.
