Over the years, the Division of Student Life has worked to create unparalleled leadership opportunities. Through these initiatives, our students acquire skills that are transferable to their professional career endeavors and beyond. Leadership Legacy is representative of the accomplishments of all our student leaders and provides an opportunity for them to share their stories, network with their fellow alumni, collaborate with current leaders and, ultimately, reconnect with the Division.
The Leadership Legacy newsletter embodies our mission to provide the necessary tools for student success and excellence in the Division of Student Life. Alumni will receive this biannual newsletter that includes stories about both current and past leaders, featured student organizations, news, updates and more. Join our listserv to ensure your subscription and stay up-to-date on all the latest Leadership Legacy news and information.
Through targeted education and hands on experience, the work of the Division of Student Life transforms today’s University of Iowa students into tomorrow’s global, multicultural leaders. Our educational experiences range from one-hour workshops to weeklong institutes to semester-long academic courses. Students hone their leadership skills by running our nearly 500 registered student organizations, including Dance Marathon, SCOPE, Campus Activity Board, and many more. We are proud of the way our students lead and manage what are sometimes million dollar organizations, and we are proud of the support (and challenge) our staff provides them.
Gifts to the Vice President for Student Life Development Fund allow us to continue and enhance our efforts to prepare students for a successful life in school and beyond. Visit our page on the UI Foundation website to learn more about contributing.
